Spiritual D.A.D.

The Spiritual D.A.D. program is for men who will help Outstretched Hands (OH) express the father heart of God to children in Romania. Reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ is at the heart of the OH vision of "raising an army of children and poor to bring the gospel to the unreached parts of Romania". The first word, Spiritual, stands for what is most important for a child . . . their relationship with God. The second word, D.A.D., has two meanings: first, that a man is taking fatherly responsibility for Romanian children. Secondly, D.A.D. is an acronym for his commitment of a Dollar A Day. Most men can
afford to give one dollar per day (which means $30 per month) to help evangelize and disciple children.

Lydia's Hands

Lydia's Hands is a program for women who have a heart for their sisters around the world, a love for children, and who know the importance of discipleship. Reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ is at the heart of the OH vision of "raising an army of children and poor to bring the gospel to the unreached parts of Romania". How shall they be reached? The Bible says, "From childhood Timothy knew the Holy Scriptures, which made him wise to choose salvation through faith in Christ Jesus." (II Tim 3:15) We seek to teach women and their children as early as possible, redeeming the time, to produce a plentiful harvest for the Lord.

The heart of Lydia's Hands has two passions. First, it is to bring the gospel to the unreached children of Romania. Secondly, it is to equip women in Romania to help OH reach and train their children. This may not yet be the season to go on a mission trip yourself, but you can nurture children and teach women through Lydia's Hands. Whether or not you have children of your own, you can be a spiritual mom for Romanian children now. You can even support Lydia's Hands in your women's prayer or Bible study group, working together to impact precious lives in Romania. Women of Lydia's Hands can help OH to fulfill God's desire in Romania, reaching children and women with the gospel, through a commitment to prayer and/or a monthly financial gift.

Coins for Christ

Coins for Christ involves kids reaching out to other kids. Each year in Romania OH does large children evangelistic outreaches where many children come and hear the Gospel for the first time. OH calls these events Children's Week, or Saptamana Copiilor in the Romanian language. These outreaches attract many children from the community or village where we put them on and are done in partnership with a Romanian church from that area. These events include Bible teaching, scripture memorization, praise and worship, skits, games, sports, and more. Children's Week is fun and a life transforming experience for many kids who
attend, most of whom are very poor.

At the Children's Week events we invite kids to sign up for Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) Mail Box Club Bible studies as part of a follow up to what they have learned about Jesus, salvation, and living for Him. Many hundreds of kids have signed up for these studies. The Bible studies are mailed to the church we work with in that location and delivered to the children who signed up in that community. They are then filled out and returned to the church, delivered to OH, mailed back to CEF Romania, and the process continues. The only cost for this entire course is the postage.

Coins for Christ is a program that allows kids from Sunday School classes, children's groups, or families to put their coins together and send them to Romania to pay the postage for these Bibles studies. Coins for Christ enlists kids to meet the spiritual needs of other kids, introduces them to world missions, and gives them an opportunity to make a spiritual impact half a world away.
